In the communities we carry out a number of activities that are aimed at improving the livelihoods of the disabled youth and their families.
Health, Education and Training for CWD’s: This project, implemented across three districts, is intended to improve the health and education of youth with disabilities. Its objectives are to increase knowledge on youth disability and protection of youth with disabilities, increase capacity of duty bearers to protect youth with disabilities from abuse and to improve coordination monitoring and review.
Advocacy and lobbying: we advocate and lobby for better legistlation in favour and with respect to the disabled communities. We fight for the voices of all those that are disabled and their families to be heard.
Skills trainings: we offer skills trainings to the youth and their families. This training is aimed at improving the economic situations of them and their families.
Sensitisation: we carry out sensitisation of the masses and communities about the disabled youth and what they go through. We educate them on how to handle the disabled.
Education support: We support the youth with education and also advocate for the equality in the provision of services and resources.
Community and youth support systems: we create and support community, family and youth support groups and forums for the disabled members of the community. These provide emotional support to the disabled.
